The Training and Development Agency for Schools: Training aid

How the TDA made their teaching aids more appealing

Challenge

The Training and Development Agency for Schools (TDA) is responsible for the training and development of the school workforce. It needed help to redesign a range of existing training aids that did not reflect the agencies modern brand identity and were so packed with information that the target audience of students, teachers and lecturers found them difficult to follow and uninspiring.

Response

Sticking closely to the TDA brand guidelines, we took their dull word processed documents and developed them into involving interactive PDFs that brought the information to life and made it more accessible and easier to navigate.

We flowed in new content and introduced graphic devices and a design hierarchy that made everything more engaging, visually appealing and accessible for the audience. A vibrant colour palette and relevant imagery brought themes to life and made them more appealing to students and lecturers alike.

Result

Target audience feedback found the interactive PDFs more user friendly, accessible and the content was much easier to follow, with a much higher take up of usage.
