How NatWest staff stay connected

Challenge

NatWest Retail needed to inspire staff in its 1,628 branches to deliver outstanding customer service, provide sales through service and work better together.

Response

We launched Shine – a lively, young, friendly staff magazine that created a personal bond between the reader, NatWest and its leadership team. We ditched the corporate speak and brought business issues to life through case studies and sharing real examples of best practice.

Result

In a staff survey, 87% agreed Shine kept them up to date with business improvements and gave them a better understanding of NatWest Retail’s strategies and priorities. And 85% agreed Shine helped them stay connected - locally and with the wider NatWest team.
