Active Stirling: Actively building a successful brand

Challenge
Stirling Council transferred responsibility for its sport and leisure services to an external trust in 2005. The new trust needed advice on a name, brand identity and how best to promote and deliver sport and physical activity throughout local communities.
Response
We advised on a name and created a complete brand identity and brand guidelines for Active Stirling and its sub brands: The Peak and Forthbank among others.
We introduced a templated approach to all the Trust’s communications, so it now has standardised and consistent brochures, leaflets and posters – all of which help to reinforce Active Stirling’s involvement in the local community. We've also created internal and external signage for the main leisure centres as well as a whole range of display and exhibition material.
Result
Active Stirling has achieved its goal to get “more people, more active, more often”. It has beaten all previous records in terms of numbers signing up for gym membership and inspiring local involvement in Active Stirling’s activities and facilities.
